If you look at the ballot and feel unsure about who to vote for or how to vote on a certain topic you can find information about the candidates and issues on your ballot at ballotready.org.

Once you decide how you're voting, it can be overwhelming to try to hold all the information in your head! You can bring notes, voter guides, or a sample ballot with you into the voting booth. Be sure to bring a paper copy as some states restrict the use of phones while voting. For more information visit usa.gov/who-you-can-vote-for.

If you feel certain about your stance on some races or issues, but less certain on others, that's ok! You do not have to complete the ballot in its entirety to submit it. The votes you place will be counted and any items left blank will be disregarded.

Voter Registration Information

Learn more about how to register to vote in Chatham County, Georgia and other states

As a college student, you can choose to vote in the county of your home state or in Chatham County, Georgia where SCAD Savannah is located,. Here are some things to consider as you decide::

  • Either option is legal

Typically, financial aid, scholarships, and dependency status are determined by factors such as your driver's license, car registration, and tax filings. However, if you have any concerns that your out-of-state financial aid, scholarships, or dependency status for health insurance may be impacted, you should contact your insurance company or SCAD's registrar to confirm (registrar@scad.edu, 912-525-5800).

To transfer your voter registration to Chatham County, complete a new voter registration with your SCAD residence and mailing addresses. The new registration with the new address supersedes your previous registration with your home/old address.
